- Practice areas: Intellectual and Industrial Property
I am a partner and head of the Industrial and Intellectual Property Department at Fieldfisher JAUSAS. I specialise in industrial and intellectual property, unfair competition, competition law, and ICT.
I advise national companies and international corporations on their register strategies and protecting their brands and inventions. I have extensive experience in negotiating licensing agreements and contracts for the assignment of all kinds of intellectual property rights, as well as their defence in court, at both national and international level.
Both myself and the good work of the Industrial and Intellectual Property Department have been recognised by several rankings, which include Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500, World Trademark Review and Best Lawyers. According to Chambers, my clients emphasise our “ability to understand technical questions when you are talking about patents," and goes on to add: "His intellectual capabilities are impressive and he is a hard-working lawyer." The directory WTR1000 – specializing in patents and trademarks – claims that I am “a brilliant international brand protection specialist who backs up his trademark expertise with robust competition law know-how.”
I have been a member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) for the past two decades, and, since 1999, I have worked as a legal advisor for the Terrassa Business Confederation (CECOT) in industrial property matters. I am also a member of ASIPI and INTA.
Before joining JAUSAS, I was the partner director of March & Asociados, and the director of law firm Clarke, Modet & Co. Since November 2008, I have been a member of the Fieldfisher JAUSAS Supervisory Board.
